NATURE’S HOUR

A Signature Experience at One Raffles Quay, Where Nature Comes to Life Hour by Hour

Introduction

Nature’s Hour is a bespoke experience at One Raffles Quay—uniting high-resolution visuals, hourly reveals, and an essential connection to nature within the pace of city life.

Ancient Wisdom, Daily Experience

Nature’s Hour is a custom digital experience created for One Raffles Quay, blending high-resolution visuals, intelligent design, and a calm, immersive rhythm that plays out across the day.

Six large screens across the property — spanning the Garden Plaza and lift lobbies in both towers — display a coordinated journey through nature, with cinematic scenes shifting in mood and light from sunrise to night, 7am to 10pm.

At the top of every hour, the Garden Plaza screen reveals a hidden jungle realm through light, motion, and sound, creating a moment of surprise, reflection, and connection in the heart of the city.

What Makes It Unique

1. The Sentient Jungle Glockenspiel

At the heart of Nature’s Hour is a first-of-its-kind digital glockenspiel, inspired by the tradition of old-world clock towers and reimagined for a modern urban space. Every hour, the Garden Plaza screen pulses to reveal a hidden jungle world—animated creatures, shifting energy, and intelligent signals woven into the landscape.

This contemporary expression of time not only marks the hour but also shapes the cohesion and identity of One Raffles Quay—bringing an essential connection to nature into the rhythm of daily life, even in the heart of the city.

2. Global Nature, Up Close

A curated collection of 8K video moments from around the world, offering biophilic calm and wonder, pixel matched to the huge video screens for never before seen high resolution XL nature experiences shift the mood of the space throughout the day.

3. Refined Visual Messaging
Tenant communications, community notices, and festive greetings are delivered through an elegant content system shaped to match ORQ’s architecture — clear, useful, and beautifully integrated.

The Screens and System

At the centre of Nature’s Hour is a 21.6m x 6m LED wall in the Garden Plaza, with a 1.5mm pixel pitch and high-brightness display for clarity in daylight. It’s supported by five additional lobby screens across the North and South Towers, forming a coordinated visual network active from 7am to 10pm daily.

The Garden Plaza screen includes spatial audio for an immersive hourly experience. All screens are powered by a centralized platform that enables synchronized playback, scheduled content, and real-time updates—including event-based visuals, building messages, and urgent communications.

Developed in collaboration with leading partners in AV, architecture, and content — including Gensler, Spectrum AV, ARUP, Planar, sedna and cFire — this infrastructure transforms the building into a responsive media environment that evolves with the day, the season, and the year, reinforcing the identity of One Raffles Quay as a forward-looking destination in the heart of Singapore.

Designed for Place, Time, and People

Nature’s Hour was created specifically for One Raffles Quay. It evolves with the time of day, the seasons, and the energy of the space—offering an experience that:

  • Aligns nature and architecture into a daily rhythm

  • Creates calm, memorable moments for everyone who passes through

  • Strengthens Marina Bay’s identity as a destination, not just a workplace
